Supporting the South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership to Deliver Skills and Knowledge Based Training and Development to Social Workers in the Region

We developed and delivered a range of Social Work Skills Training programmes over the years including for newly qualified workers, experienced practitioners and for team managers. I was also involved in assisting the partnership in their thinking and framing of their successful bid, based on the theory of change.

Following their successful bid, I was approached to put together a new programme for Social Workers across South Yorkshire to support them in consolidating their practice and becoming confident and independent practitioners. We are new delivering this programme to 50 Social Workers in Adults and Children’s Services using the new Knowledge and Skills frameworks published by the DFE. We are also evaluated this programme with a view to the future training of social workers and how they can be supported and developed to meet the new assessment process to be continued to be licensed to practice which the government is bringing in next year.
